Lingcod is the new Halibut!

In a blind taste test Heidi chooses Lingcod!  "I prefer Lingcod to Halibut.  The taste is almost identical, however the Lingcod is a bit richer due to a higher fat content".  Halibut prices are sky high so we decided process, what think is a great alternative.  So far, all of our halibut customers have happily converted to Lingcod lovers!

Lingcod is sweet, mild and very similar to halibut in taste with a lower price tag.  It lends itself to a variety of cooking methods.  It is medium firm and flaky when cooked.  And remember....just like all our fish, it is best not over cooked!

Shipping Costs:

We fish in Alaska, but we ship from our hometown of Asheville, NC. As a rough guideline, if you live East of the Mississippi River we can ship to you for the below amounts. Check out our shipping page for a detailed map of nationwide shipping costs.

  • $49 for up to 23 lbs
  • $69 for up to 30 lbs
  • $98 for up to 50 lbs

Why isn’t shipping free?

We are aware that most of our competitors offer free shipping, however this cost is built into their price. Our 10 lb box of salmon with shipping is similar or less than our competitors, HOWEVER, if you order more than 10 lbs, our flat rate shipping offers a big savings to you!

How it works :

Each summer my partner Steve and I head to Bristol Bay, Alaska to participate in the largest Sockeye salmon fishery in the world. After our salmon are picked out of the net they are placed directly, and with great care, into an icy slurry that quickly cools them. They are then delivered to a processing facility where they are filleted, de-boned, and flash frozen to preserve that "just-caught" freshness.

Our exclusive salmon is available on a limited basis. Order now and.... DON'T MISS THE BOAT!

Lingcod is Fantastic

Haven’t had a chance to try this years yet but last year when we were ordering we asked our Alaskan friends which of the cods they would pick. They unanimously agreed that it would be Lingcod. We had never tried it before and now are hooked.
