Wild Alaska Cod – Mild, Delicate & Flaky

Our Wild Alaska Cod is sweet, tender, and perfectly flaky — the ideal white fish for any meal. With its mild flavor and buttery texture, it has quickly become a weekly favorite in our household.

Unlike much of the cod on the market that’s reprocessed overseas and treated with chemicals, ours is never reprocessed and never treated. All-natural, chemical-free, and 100% sustainably harvested in Alaska.

Alaska Cod is sold in 10 lb boxes
10 lbs = $17.95/lb

Shipping Costs

We fish in Alaska, but we ship from our hometown of Asheville, NC.

As a general guideline, if you live east of the Mississippi River, shipping rates are:

  • Up to 23 lbs: $55
  • Up to 30 lbs: $69
  • Up to 50 lbs: $99

Please visit our shipping page for a detailed map of nationwide shipping costs.

Why Isn’t Shipping Free?

We get it — everyone loves free shipping. But shipping frozen fish is expensive, and that cost has to show up somewhere.

Some companies build shipping into the price of the fish. We prefer to keep our pricing more transparent and charge a flat shipping rate instead.

Our 10 lb box, including shipping, is priced similarly to many competitors. And if you order more than 10 lbs, our flat-rate shipping can offer big savings.

The more you stock up, the better the value.

How it works :

Each summer my partner Steve and I head to Bristol Bay, Alaska to participate in the largest Sockeye salmon fishery in the world. After our salmon are picked out of the net they are placed directly, and with great care, into an icy slurry that quickly cools them. They are then delivered to a processing facility where they are filleted, de-boned, and flash frozen to preserve that "just-caught" freshness.

Our exclusive salmon is available on a limited basis. Order now and.... DON'T MISS THE BOAT!

Perfect for Blackened Fish Tacos

I have been ordering Salmon from WSC for years, and with my most recent order, I decided to order the Alaska Cod because I always wanted to make fish tacos. The portions, when thawed, are bigger than you'd think. They are flakey, meaty, mild--they blackened perfectly and were amazing. I am saving the rest to grill because of how well they carry flavor. I found that they take at least 24 hours (and not just overnight) to thaw in the fridge.

Oh, my Cod!! Soo good!

I used zatarain's fish fry and deep fried to appropriate internal temperature
The best fish and chips ever made in my kitchen!
It's destined to be a staple in the freezer.

We love buying salmon and cod from Steve and Heidi. They are a small family company with lots of history as an Alaskan fishery. We trust them. We had stopped eating fish as my husband is allergic to sulphites. Fish caught and sold by large fishing boats is routinely sprayed with sulphites to extend their freshness so that they can stay out on the water longer. (They are not required to inform the consumer of this practice.) Not so with Wild Salmon products. Their fish is fresh for the day and immediately processed and frozen upon returning to shore. My husband can eat fish again. And, did I say how delicious!! The quality is always 5-star and consistent. We started ordering a 10-lb box for the two of us. We are now up to 30 lbs (3 boxes); half cod, half salmon. And it is caught in the cold Pacific water. Wild caught and no farmed fish. It is so easy to prepare and takes about 10 minutes to cook. My favorite is to cut it into bite size pieces, dredge in egg and cracker crumbs and fry up in olive oil. Makes some tasty cod tacos that way.
